5 Signs you’re not eating enough 🚨
1️⃣. High food focus 💭 🍔
Are you a foodie? I get it. Me too. But constantly thinking about what and when you’re eating the next time might be a symptom of eating too little for too long. Even more extreme it gets if you’re looking at highly processed foods all day long.
2️⃣. Waking up at night 🌙
This phenomenon is not uncommon! You might wonder why you’re waking up at night all the time. It could be too big of a deficit or too few carbs. Your body starts signaling you to hunt and get food if underfed.
3️⃣. No/irregular periods 🩸
I have a personal period journey. I lost mine due to 4 years competing in bodybuilding and got it back after eating sufficient calories. Your body will shut this function down if it doesn’t get enough calories. It’s a survival mechanism to prevent you from getting pregnant and risking you can’t nourishing your baby properly.
4️⃣. Difficulty to focus 💻
For your brain to work efficiently, you need energy. Your brain uses around 320 calories just to think. Too few calories and/or carbs could be one cause.
5️⃣. No progress in the gym 💪🏼
You can’t lift heavier, increase reps, feel fatigued fast, and don’t feel recovered? This is also a sign that you should eat more if you have performance-based goals. Lacking the motivation to train/move can be an indicator of not enough food and/or carb intake.
What do you think? Could you benefit from eating more?
