Try These Stretches If You Have Tight Glutes!

This video shares 3 stretches for the glutes to help loosen and improve flexibility in the glutes. These include the sitting stretch for the posterior hip capsule, the 90:90 and a pigeon lunge. All stretches provide great a great stretch to the glute max, medius and piriformis.

Hi y‘all :) these are really good streches! There‘s also another one which I really like for the glutes. You start in a sitting position. Tuck your left leg, so that the knee is pointing straight ahead and your foot is touching your right glute. Then cross your right leg above your left one in the same manner. Ideally the knees should be lying on top of eatch other, the feet next to the glutes, however this is if youre really flexible in the glutes. If so, you can intensify the stretch by leaning forwards and pulling the belly button towards the ground.
It also works if your not as flexible yet, to fully cross the the legs (like me). In this case the knees won‘t touch each other yet and the upper one will probably rather point upwards than forwards. Done like this, the position will resemble the first stretch you did in this video Tom, only that the knee is supposed to sink down to the ground, back straight.
I hope this was sort of understandable and useful to anybody. I feel like this stretch can go very deep and its still adjustible to different levels of flexibility. Watch your knees though! Happy days and thank you for your videos Tom! :)

how often should you do any of this channel's stretches? My hips are often really tight but idk how often to do hip stuff to open them up more.

Thank you Tom. Though I don't have any equipments to do it. Downward dog, pigeon stretch, and archer squats weren't hitting just enough. I am glad to stumble across this video, and also recently as well!
