Fasting is muscle sparing. I think the biggest reason fasting isn’t promoted is there’s no money in it. If something is free and doesn’t make the fitness and pharmaceutical industry money, and in many cases loses them money, of course it won’t be supported.

What are your thoughts about "Feast and famine" fasting from Monday to Friday and then refeeding on weekends? I saw some people do this and I wonder is it safe.

Hey Ryan great video and I appreciate you directing people to a workout that they can enjoy and sustain. As you probably know I'm with you though in the resistance training! There is nothing like it that is as beneficial for fat loss, looking better, mental clarity, longevity, etc. great tip though yes, if you are fasting the main important key to keeping muscle is make sure you have the stimulus there (ie resistance train so your body knows to keep it) and hit a solid protein goal. The standard goal is somewhere around .8g-1g per lb of body weight unless you are heavier...then you can go less. Love the content 👍

Bro science lmao. Personally I was able to build muscle while fasting. So much information, just have to try it yourself and find out. Btw, I loved that Star Wars christmas shirt you had. Favorite movie?
