Least you get paid to write. There are plenty of people who call themselves authors who have to pay to get published

I just say "struggling artist", rather than author. That ends the discussion. I think people are afraid of what kind of "art" I might be doing 😂

It gets even awkwarder . . . if that's the word? IDK . . . when you tell them you make a living doing something else and make part time income from it.

The MOST awkward thing about being an author, is always getting grammar checked by people who can't string two words together. . . like dude. I words all day. I don't have time or energy to words right on Facebook . . .
