Setting goals is so hard. Too many decades of shifting sand. I don't get my hopes up about anything really. It hurts too much when it's yanked from you. So I just stopped hoping mostly.

I made it through the zero contact and withdrawal gauntlet! It was the hardest thing to do, but wow! I never knew how good it feels to be free and falling in love with myself and my life.

Danish, your messages gave me life! Please keep repeating these to all who are just finding you!

Only key is to actually believe despite all of the psychological brainwashing on the part of your abuser that you are in fact capable of accomplishing your goals & aspirations in order to readily become successful at them in the first place ime & imho 💯

Danish 🥰 ♥️, Doctor Phil 🙂 says you have to have a passion and something that makes you excited and looking forward to the day, it is psychologically important for any person to have a passion, Doctor Phil says everyone has a currency

It’s a process. And it’s hard not to fall into past habits. Now, I can recognize a narc at 100 paces but it took me time to get there. I also carry a lot of PTSD and baggage that are easily triggered in new relationships (personal and professional) - once bitten, twice shy and very reactive. It’s been 9 years since my divorce but in some ways, it was yesterday. I’m a work in progress but it’s obvious I still have much work to do. Whereas, the perpetrator is living the life of Riley, with no repercussions to his actions. That is the part that infuriates me most. He got away with murder (figuratively) and perpetrated the perfect crime while convincing others of his innocence and victimization.
