Training with a plan VS no plan (Calisthenics)

Plan vs no plan was a question I struggled with a lot. As I became more advanced and started tracking my training more, I came up with some conclusions that a well programmed training with autoregulation cannot possibly we worse than training by your feeling. However, I still dont like when people take the studies and research too literaly because there is always a component of personal experience and individualization.

Exactly what's been going on through my head these days bro, it seems unfair when you see others progress so fast with little work in a short period of time with no knowledge just by attempting the skills. in the other hand you putting much work and consistency yet you see small progress, That's due to multiple variables as you mentioned my advice for people like me is to train smart, staying consistent and not comparing yourself to others.💪

No program works only if you are good at listening to your body, you still need a general idea of how to get to your goals. Its like you have the program in your head

man, you're my favorite calisthenics youtuber, I love your videos man! I hope you'll make a video on 90 degree hold, and how to get better at it with handstands, hspu, and how to combine it with them, but that's maybe not what a lot of peple care about, but yeah, id love a handstand/hspu tutorial

Same, people start their studies talks making scientific proven right and i always hear that in Canada .This is why i started training how i feel and the exercises which work for me many people say i do injury stuff but i made a lot of progress in 3 months than in 4 years but also shocks me that routine are for certain people due to an injury or weak points not everyone can follow the same like many people cant do my way. Anyways great video

Good vid,
As a complete beginner I thought more expensive program == better results. But there is plenty of free training knowledge out there now, so all you really need to do is put in the work and follow principles instead of exact rep/sets schemes.

Tried training without a plan while working out with an advanced guy (can one arm planche etc.) for a few days. Results: Fun training but elbows and shoulders exploded after the forth session

I just made front lever and planche programs, 6 week hypertrophy and 5 weeks skill focused trainings. I thought if I wasted my time, but you came with ur video just in time, I guess I'll give it a shot now. Need to break that 10 sec front lever stuck already 😅

the sad thing about gifted athletes (not referring to you in this case) is they can train randomly and notice they get results, then sell coaching services with the same randomly/poorly thought out plans and spread misinformation

Great video bro, the information is super useful and I think we should train in both ways, always seeking to improve

amazing vid as always :)

personally, plan worked amazing for me until i started planching, its so hard to be in the right mindset, energy levels, sleep etc which isnt much of a problem with other stuff. would often feel like poop on training day while really good on rest days so now going by feeling and its been nice as long as im careful not to overtrain

Thanks a lot for this video, in my opinion the best thing to do is to get the best of both worlds. Organise your training, not for the next 6 months but for the next 1 month. Then, after you see how it goes with that specific plan, keep it if you like it, or change it if you don't. This gives you freedom, because even though your training is planned, you can change it very frequently if you want, and good organisation, because your training is planned. This is how you get the pros from both methods.

Its reletivly easy to program statics/skill traning. I train dynamics aswell, which are way more unpredictable so I dont bother trying to program. However I have trained for 7 years so defenitly following certain traning principles
