I just applied some topical treatment, turned around, and saw my cat apparently drooling. This video made me feel better.

Thank you this is helpful. I've heard it's not good for them and got very worried, but this makes my heart lighter. Thank you so much!

Thank you! Just applied flea topical medicine, and my cat licked some off. She did foam at mouth for a second but recovered quickly. Your advice set my mind at ease. 😻

Thank you for this! For some reason their topical flea medicine said to apply it between the shoulder blades (which is weird bc the other ones I've used in the past have always said to apply to the base of their head) so I followed the instructions and my cat definitely licked it. I was freaking out.

actually on the Frontline package and also their official video they say between the shoulder blades ! wrong and wrong : my cat reached so easily he licked instantly then my son was upset and doesn't want to put this topical treatment ever again ! We used to put it higher but last month I missed the spot because I did it on my own so this time we followed Frontline official directions which are pure nonsense, I knew it as we were doing it ! So thank you for YOUR video and the diagram : at the low line of the ear base, right in the middle : for my cat that would be the only place he cannot directly lick (but he could with his paw), he can literaly lick behind his head 180 degrees as most cat can do anyway. Thank you for the relief because he was drooling and emitting saliva a lot

My kitten (7 months) managed to lick some of her medication because she squirmed so much when I was applying it that I applied it off-center. When I saw her gagging and drooling, I panicked and gave her a bath to wash the rest of it off. 😭

Thank you for this video, it made me feel better, if a bit foolish for overreacting. 😅

My cat has been licking himself for a few minutes now, and I started to worry, but he's fine, doesn't show any symptoms either :) Thanks for the info! ☺

Why do the instructions say "between the shoulder blades" instead of back of the neck? Just found out my cat can twist her head around to lick it. I'm never using flea drops again

Thank you so much! When I was applying some, he jerked and a small amount got to where he could get to it to lick it off. I feel SO much better now! Again, THANK YOU! 1:12

My cat lick some of advantage 2 from fur after it was put on. She did foam at the mouth. I gave her a treat with some coconut oil. I hope that was ok.

Thank you for this. I do have a question if you are still checking comments. My kitty is about a year old. (Not sure bc rescue street kitty got 3 months ago.. they estimated age 6-9 months at rescue. So I guess Emmy is 9-12 months now? I did a few baths w dawn when first got her. Vet checks were good but concern was ear mites. They gave me NexGuard combo topical. I put it on today n she wasn’t pleased so got some on her fur. Let her be for about 3 hours but she’s been itching area n licked. Im grateful to know she’s safe but its still oily on her fur. I have a MDR1 collie she likes to rub against n cuddle. I worry about the oil on fur getting on him and toxicity to him. Will the oil dry or should i wipe her fur with something?

She just used her foot and licked. She’s complaining but seems fine. Thanks.

Hope you answer asap. Is it ok to put a cone on my cat after applying broadline? Coz i did. Just to make sure she does not accidentally lick it. And how many hrs does it take for it to dry? So i’ll know when to remove the cone.

Thanks so much for your video! I put it on the bottom back of my cats neck but some got on her fur instead of directly on the skin, she groomed herself afterwards and i freaked out a bit because I didn't notice if it was the treatment (Cassiel-Pet Avermectin) that got on the back of her fur wet or if it was her cleaning herself. It's been more than 30 minutes since I put the medication and she's just napping as per usual so I assume it's ok? I enjoyed watching your video, helped calm me down a bit. Thanks again!
