How I understand how time travel works :
1. You time travel
2. Somone sees you
3. He looks at you
4. He keeps looking you because you have strange clothes
5. He misses hes bus because he kept looking at you
6. He is late for hes daughter birthday
7. Hes wife will get mad
8. Hes wife will divorce him
9. He is depressed
10. Hes daughter died
11. He became crazy doctor who tested chemicals on humans
12. He created a super human accidentally
13. He loses control over him
14. Super human will destroy half of the world before he was stopped
15. World will be dark place...
16. Youtube, Instagram, Memes, Twitter, and everything else like that wouldn't been created
17. And most important...
You were never born!

what if time travel simply puts you into a different timeline that up until that point is identical to yours? That way your timeline is unaffected

I like the idea of bubble universes (I don't remember if that's actually what it's called, it could be something completely different😂). In this theory if I were to go back in time and meet myself it would essentially create a new universe and hence a timeline where I do meet my past self which explains why I don't remember meeting my past self, because in my original universe that never happens, but when I go back it creates a new universe where it does

If I had a Time Machine in my room, I would go to my past self (2016) warned him about shit that’s gon happen in the future, I’ve always asked myself, if I traveled back in time, warn my past self, he'd believe everything I say, even in 2016, my cousin wouldn't be impressed that I time travel, it's just one of those things we ask ourselves

I was thinking;
The first thing to this question is the fact that you now have two alternate universes created only by interacting with your past self. By interacting with yourself, you could retain memories of both Present-You and Past-You. This would mean that Present-You would retain the memories of going back into time and interacting with yourself, while Past-You would retain the memories of Present-You interacting with them. This would cause you to have memories of both going back in time and interacting with your past self, along with the memory of seeing Present-You interact with you.

I think if I traveled back to the past and met my past self the universe might be used to having one of me at any given time, but since there will be two of me the universe might try to make just one of me by tearing me and my past self together to fix the problem that is having two of me in (that) time.
