-If you want to water fast because of the weight loss factor, you have another option: intermittent fasting. This means eating nothing (or just a few calories) for a certain period of time and then eating as usual for another period.

I did 28 days without food, the first 3 were the hardest, after 7 days I didn't want to eat, at 14 days I felt energised, I had no negative side effects but started slowly returning to food on day 29. Every 3 months I now fast for 3 - 4 weeks. I used to weigh 250kg, now I don't get above 120kg regardless of foods, food amount, or exercise.

I’m on Day 3 of my water fast. I’m doing It to regenerate cells, strengthen mental fortitude, and lose a few pounds. I feel If I can have the will power to fight a primal instinct (To eat) I can concur anything within myself 🙏🏼

I can go days without eating but once I eat a small snack, like I’m saying a single apple slice, I absolutely demolish my kitchen and binge. It’s an endless cycle lol.

I'm 70 years old and just did a 30 day water fast. I did cardio for 4 hours and 1 hour of resistance training every day and never felt better. I lost 35 lbs in those 30 days. I didn't contact a doctor because they would have said I was nuts. That was 5 months ago and I haven't put on a single pound of weight.

On day 7/21 (or more) and feeling awesome. I've lost 12 pounds. No doctor, it's amazing and this is the second time I've gotten to 7 days so I'm looking forward to 8 days and so on.

Life Hack (if you try the water fast diet): If you start to feel overwhelmingly hungry, eat ice and for some reason it helps. I recommend crushed ice, it's the best kind of ice! :)

*Edit:* it’s been 9 months and i’m finally doing great:)) i decided that i needed to change my habits and i’ve improved sm! also, at the time i wrote the original comment, i was actually like 100 lbs. I just had very bad body dysmorphia and was still recovering from an ED but i’m doing sm better now:)
*Edit:* it’s been 10 months and i’m still feeling amazing and finally doing better for my body. I have gained some weight throughout the year but i’m now at an average weight, rather than underweight for my age which is great! It’s been a long time but i’ve been slowly recovering from my eating disorder and i’m doing just fine:)

I did two 30 day water fasts. Started at just over 285lbs, ended at about 245lbs. Then about 2 months later I did the second one, and now weigh 205lbs!

7 day water fast does not break down your muscle. You can exercise by lifting weights and doing calisthenics and actually gain muscle mass during the 7 day fast, no problem.
