Jakob is a true GOAT. He had such a good vibe and was happy to help. Having him as a pacemaker was a dream and getting that 14:04 PB never felt easier. 🙏

I like that. Tips from actually world class successful runner instead of so called "youtube experts".

We need more of this, make it a series! Someone needs to make like a variety show and invite runners!

Would be great for Jakob to randomly appear at one of the ParkRuns 👀

Jakob tengo 48 años y te admiro. Eres un incentivo, para muchos no tan solo a los que se dedican running, si no para todas las personas por tu constancia, disciplina y por sobre todo la sencillez. Idolo. Te escribo desde salta provincia de argentina.

Irrespective of what happened yesterday and the fact I'm british, this guy is hands down the best, long may he break more WRs and take more golds

Would love to see him at my local parkrun for a blast around the course together 🏆

Yeah, one thing I’ve learned is don’t go too far out fast, go at a comfortable pace, I never thought to do this, and the result was going from 18:20 to 17:32 within the span of one race.

Best strategy. Train with 20x400s at 60-65 sec pace with 1-2 min rest between laps just like Jakob.

As someone who grew up watching Seb Coe and Steve Ovett, it’s been such a blessing following your progress Jakob. Really enjoyed this video, even if all I do is walk these days. Thank you! 😂🏃‍♂️🍾❤️

This is my first year doing cross country and I just got down to a 24min a couple weeks ago. Hopefully I’ll be close to 20 next year

I think 5k is the best running distance. It teaches technique, tactic and endurance. Whereas half marathons or full marathons are more mindset races where technique will suffer. Its also a distance you wont be doing often, but its better to have high frequency in training.

“Don’t go too hard” - I like this one… overdoing it won’t work in the long run!

Interesting to hear J. Ingebrigsten talk about nerves coming into play at the starting line. I always find myself looking around and seeing so many fit people that look prepped and confident, I find it difficult to keep in mind that only a couple of them will finish ahead of me.

Step1: Have a last name "Ingebrigtsen"
Step2: Be trained by Gjert from age 10
Step3: Survive
