All you have to do is strengthen your hip flexor, hamstrings and ankles, but make sure that you also stretch so your hip flexor isn't tight

Step 6 for me is don't weigh 230 lbs when you're supposed to weigh 180 as per your height.

Yes I do believe incorporating these exercises into your regime will help also along with strength and conditioning training, endurance runs and sprints all helps... I love 10kms on the treadmill... As fast as possible.... 43 minutes my personal best... My head will give up before my body does ...

I'm a track and field coach that specializes in sprinting, and here's the benefits of each exercise:

1 - Calf and achilles elasticity and ankle stiffness
2 - Powerful hip extension
3 - More sprint-specific plyometric that trains hip extensors and flexors to fire together
4 - Ankle stiffness, lateral hip stability, and core
5 - Proper front-side sprinting mechanics

Some exercises will be more effective and work quicker than others depending on your level of sprinting and strength. If you're generally not that strong, the best way to get faster is to hit the weights and keep doing these plyometrics. If you're strong but still not fast, work on explosiveness. And no matter what sprinting level you're at, you need to do sprints (regular, ins and outs, hills, sled pulling, etc.).
