Blueberry Muffin Smoothie

Ingredients
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
⅔ cup frozen blueberries
3/4 cup plain fat free Greek yogurt
3 tablespoons rolled oats
2 tablespoons chia seeds
2 tablespoons PBfit
1 teaspoon honey
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch cinnamon
1 pinch salt

Nutrition Per Serving
403 calories
18 g fat (4 g saturated)
42 g carbs
6 g fiber
22 g protein

Banana Nut Smoothie

Ingredients
1 large, ripe banana, peeled
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
3/4 cup plain fat free Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons roasted sunflower seeds
2 tablespoon PBFit
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt

Nutrition Per Serving
471 calories
18 g fat (3 g saturated)
50 g carbs
23 g sugar
8 g fiber
32 g protein

Good stuff, something I find useful is to use the frozen fruit alone, add no ice to get a richer flavor and it will be just as frothy and cold.

7:04 PB Fit-I have to avoid erythritol so, I’ll add soaked walnuts.
9:32 rolled oats, I’m replacing w/oat groats.

Hi Josh, thanks for your vid. I have one more small addition for your protein shake. Instead of sunflowerseeds (or papitas), use hemp seed and/or ciaseed. Why? These two types of seeds contain the most protein, especially hemp seeds and a high dose of omega 3. Sunflower seeds mainly contain omega 6. The difference is that omega 3 inhibits inflammation in your body and helps build your body. Omega 6 causes inflammation, especially given the large amounts we consume (vegetable oils).

I just made it, shit bussed and i'm not bloated! I actually like it better than my store bought protein shake or protein powder mix. Like i didn't even know oats had protein in it man. I feel so much better after drinking thissss thank u <3

Thanks Josh for the info and the patience you put into it to enlighten us for better understanding. I must admit that, since I have been watching your workout videos and the intake of protein, pre workout and post workout. these have impacted me a lot. My recipe is Ice, one banana, 2 heaping tablespoons of 100% pure cocoa powder, honey, and milk. Sometimes I add peanut butter or seeds.

I don’t remember where I read it (or if some nutritionist said it), but that you shouldn’t use almond, oat, etc milk in your smoothie cause it slows down the absorption of the protein, etc… also, you shouldn’t add any blueberry’s (or anything ending in “berry”) with a banana… the nutrients in the banana neutralize the antioxidant properties of the blueberries… that was from two nutritionists on AthlenX’s channel… thoughts?

The bacteria that create yogurt digest the lactose (milk sugar) which many people are allergic to while making the yogurt. So, homemade yogurt is definitely a good source of protein.
