The cinnamon point regardless of pubmed is arguable because it’s associated with lower adiposity but I didn’t see calories being equated in the studies (maybe I missed some). So there could be behavioural aspects, e.g. people who supplement with cinnamon because they wish to modulate blood glucose levels, are also likely to adopt other health seeking behaviours compared to controls who just east what they want and don’t purposefully add in substances like cinnamon to help with their fitness.

Also, cinnamon’s main effect is supposedly lowering glycemic effect of food, so having it with a fast carb like honey kind of contradicts what you want from your food at that time. If you want fast carbs to help with recovery, you want the glycemic effect so cinnamon may be better served in other meals.

With that being said, people need to stop hating on the Rios twins. I’ve commented on videos where I disagreed with certain points, having read evidence to the contrary from what was said in those videos, but these guys are a net positive on YT. We need more guys like them instead of athleanx and squat uni (constantly fear mongering with different movements and giving out inaccurate diagnoses of pain).
