Narcissists also love the ability to gaslight and then triangulate others. When the victim is about to walk, the narc starts blaming their partner, and convinces friends and family to give advice like "Marriage is hard...don't give up so easy! You've got to work on you marriage before you walk away". They will convince anyone and everyone that the other person is at fault!

You forgot "for a normalcy prop." They get married because they are so charming, so sexually exciting and so adoring (at first), then they can attend church, host social gatherings, have children (hooks into their supply), engage in superficial friendships, and isolate their spouse from their own family and friends by assassinating said spouses' character, so that they can justify the narc's own eventual (/ continual) cheating and eventual discard / victimhood.

13 years later...He manipulates, deceives, lies, to borrow money from so many people. I'll never understand why they continue to give him money. Promises to give them back double, triple, 🤦‍♀️ The one thing I've noticed is he uses the phrase, "My wife, my kids, my family." We are just being used as pawns, and as a facade. Praying God continues to help open doors to free my children and myself.
