This (the whole channel) is by far the best content for recruitment and interview advice I have ever seen throughout my career! Thank you Andy. I am coming up to a negotiation and this has been very useful. I have always been timid to negotiate as I want the job so bad, but now I am more senior I feel I have options and certainly more value to bring. I won't be undervalued, I have a family to feed!

This may be a silly question, but how do you go from a verbal offer to a written offer without committing to accepting the position?

19:50 I did think you were crazy. Then I remembered I did tell them I am interviewing with X and he then said, just give me 2 more weeks to get a new opening, because I want you in here

Thank you for your invaluable suggestions. If someone entered a lesser amount in the expected salary box while filling in the job application. Later, they got an interview and they researched the company and found that their expected was 20-30K lesser than what the company pays to similarly qualified candidates. Do you recommend they negotiate a new range without hurting their chances of getting the job? Thank you again for the great work!

I considered myself an experienced guy, and believe to bring value to any organization as an employee, but what I heard recently is about the value market for employees in certain states (CA & NY will offer a better salary for the same position than PA), therefore, how do I approach that situation and obtain a better salary offer? Thanks a lot for all your guidance

Well, I wished I knew about this before accepting the offer. I feel like I rushed the acceptance of the offer.

I’m 63 and on the verge of getting a job offer! My biggest concern is that if I do accept, there may be a gap in my health and dental insurance… and I’m in the middle of some dental work too. How could I negotiate getting covered for COBRA until I finish the new hire waiting period?? This is my biggest

Negotiating a promotion. Company approached me to move from
Super to general super. Moving from 2-3m in responsibility to 10-25m in responsibility. They are in a tough situation and looking to me to help fix the issues. I declined the position based on hours worked and income compensated . They are continuing ti pursue me . I am struggling with the negation. 😨

I accepted a job without negotiating enough. I now realize I sold my self short. Can I renegotiate after the fact or how should I handle this?

I asked for $.40 more to round it up and got offer rescinded ( government job with really low pay, no training and would mean training coworkers in the future)

@andylacivita thank you for suggesting g your video of what to do when you already gave them a range. I was scared, I threw a number out there because I was thinking from the mindset of a teacher. They offered way more, but it’s probably the lower range of what they originally budgeted for the role
