I fell for a similar lie from a recruiter recently. I had X years of experience and the person told me, "We require people with X+1 years of experience to be in a senior role." After I joined the company, I realized I was played for and saw people with obviously less than X+1 years of experience in senior roles. Never again. Thank you for illuminating their lies.

I've walked away from a few jobs and they would always call back later. Once I walk away I move one. I usually don't waste my time at that point.
