Should Christians Cuss?

Do you ever doubt your ability to answer bigger than life questions like, “Why do I exist? What is the purpose of life? Can I know God? If so, how? Are miracles possible?” And if God exists what’s with all the evil in the world? Do questions like these ever nag at you? If so, you’ve come to the right channel. I too am a fellow wonderer who thinks about stuff like this.

If it's not directly taking the Lord's name in vain, then the words themselves arent inherently the problem. What makes it sinful is that they're typically used in a context of anger or malice

The only real cuss word is taking the lord's name in vain

The only thing the seriously bothers me is when people take the Lord's name in vain (or the various variations on it). I don't prefer the other words and don't say them myself but they don't really bother me.

I think it's more of the intent. Even "Christian cuss words" like frick or crap can be used as swears if yelled in anger or malice

Christianity is not a one vsize fits all depends on your personal relationship with Jesus and the context of words you use.

Jesus himself in the New Testament, Paul and other apostles and several places in the Old Testament use very strong language where appropriate. Such language is shocking, and it is meant to be. If strong language is used habitually it becomes meaningless. It is not wrong for a Christian to use strong language when appropriate.

No, we shouldn't but it's not a sin either, in fact, some "cuss" words are in the Bible. The only one I'd consider sinful is God****.
