Ephesians 4:29 NLT
“Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.”

Matthew 12:36 NLT
“And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak.”

No one is perfect in the world, we all have cuss once or more in life but it's important to REPENT ever day. Thanks Issac, God bless you and everyone. Love commenting on this channel.

I haven’t cussed for months and I’m sooo glad for it, First when I told God that I’m going to repent from it it was not easy because those cuss words just flipped out of my mouth easily but now I don’t even cuss at all and I’m very happy with it (praise God for this 🙌🏽)

I'm from Australia. Cussing is such a cultural norm here, and everybody cusses, like A LOT, not just as a way to be angry but cuss words are just used as conversation fillers, it's so normal here. I honestly never used to think of it as a big deal and I still would swear when I become a Christian. But after 1-2 years since giving my life to Christ I noticed just how much I was changing, things I used to like and do now make me cringe and I can't stand them and swearing is one of them. All of a sudden I just never swore, the thought of it just wasn't nice, and any time I hear a cuss word I cringe, I can't stand it. I know that's because of the Holy Spirit changing me. I think people should try to use cuss words as little as possible. And there's honestly no excuse to not use them.

If the Spirit of God lives in you, there is no way you won't be convicted after using fowl words. It's either you repent or you arrogantly continue with it.

Wrong is wrong not matter how much we try to normalize it.

Out of all things, cussing was the one thing I easily dropped when I was saved. It was like flipping a switch. However even though I stopped swearing in English, I have a really bad habit of swearing in German, Polish, Russian or Finnish (I grew up playing CS:GO lol) but that almost always happens when I am genuinely upset or shocked, not intentional and I always feel bad afterwards.

I cuss ALOT and I try my very best to stop... It's very hard for me since I work in the Hotel industry... Which shouldn't be an excuse, but I'm flawed and I do try to stop.... So thanks for the reminder again 😂😜

Thank you for this!! Being a “sheltered” homeschooler, going in to a non Christian work environment for the first time was really difficult for me to adjust to. Cussing is the norm and I’ve wondered sometimes why it’s bad if it’s “just words” but I need this reminder that it is a reflection of whats on the inside… thank you for this! I also would like to know your opinion on cussing in music and if it’s okay to listen to music with swearing? Thank you!

Chapter 3 of James is all about taming the tongue.

Praise Yeshua, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Blessings from Australia.

I am not perfect either but when a bad word comes out of my mouth (i really try to control myself as much as possible) i firstly feel very convicted and secondly i ask DOES THIS REPRESENT THE ONE I WANT TO REPRESENT? So Jesus. And the answer is NO.

Awesome video! This was certainly a topic I had questions about.

Please also talk about "Christians" who make prejudicial remarks and "jokes" and slurs about people who are "different" than they are. That is a worse problem IMHO.

I agree, and struggle to catch myself from cussing. Its been such a habitual part of my speech for so long that it happens before I even notice it. Like you said, some say its just talking/words its not that important. I find my argument against it rests in the command to not be of the world.

Hey guys! Please pray for a brotha if ya can

I use to be under the impression that as long as the swear words were used to build people up (such as thru encouragement, which they can be) It wasn't a bad thing, but recently God has been convicting my heart about it because the question i must ask is: Would I swear when I go to prayer in God? The answer is absolutely no! I now strive to remove all swearing when I can! Love the answer he gave in this video nonetheless!
