Gaining 3 years of life from running 7 minutes a day doesn't sound all that enticing. But to think about the quality of life improvement by the increase in dopamine in the brain and overall energy and endurance levels increased then that sounds a lot more attractive.

I think it has more to do with the fact that people who run tend to live healthier lifestyles overall. so it's not just the running

You injured your knee? Was the injury by chance the result of being shot by an arrow?

Lets do the math,
7Min/day means 7*365 a year resulting about 2450 min/ year.
deviding that by 60 means about 40 hours/year. Multiply that by a average age of 80 results a fair 3200 hours in your lifetime. Thats about 150 days. That is almost half a year of running for a gain of 3years of lifetime. Worth it? maybe, but dont forget that you ran an astonishing 150 days!

I went from hating running with all the cells of my body... to loving it so much that I now run almost everyday... What happened? I started caring about my self, saw that I was the one responsible for my health and most importantly I also learned why running or aerobic exercise is so good for your health.

If you have had thoughts about starting to run or even tried running but with no success. My personal guidens for you would be to stop focusing on how long you run or how fast you run. Instead make sure you enjoy running! When you starting to get the "negative" thoughts then stop running and walk home, the goal of your training should be to keep it fun. Go out and run in the woods run on mountains (Although it's tougher) run in water, run on your neighbours backyard if you need to too keep if fun! (Haha maybe not the last one ^^)

Anyways don't focus on what you can't do, focus on what you are doing and how your body responds. Listen to your body and have fun with it! Don't push your self to hard. Instead run more often (7 minutes everyday can be a hell of a lot of fun!) And you will notice your progress without a clock and distance meter!!! Everyone is different but this truly did it for me! Peace friends!

At the 0:55 mark she says that running "51 minutes a week" has health benefits.  Running 7 minutes/day for 7 day/week = 49 minutes... not 51.

I love Tara on DNews, she seems more comfortable than when she's on the Rev3 gaming related videos.

Three years is 1576800 minutes. (3*365*24*60)
At 7 minutes a day, 1576800/7= 225257 days would be your break-even point.
Now I don't know about you, but living for another 617 years is a little beyond my expectations, so Ill consider this "worth it"

It's not just about living more years, it's about quality of life. People who run (or excercise in general) are more likely to feel better overall. I see a lot of old runners who look fantastic for their age.
