Best mile tip I can give is always push the pace at the beginning of the 3rd lap! everyone run the 3rd lap the slowest, so just push through it and run the last lap all out. trust me.

6 months ago I️ was 315 pounds and I️ found your channel. I’m down 75 pounds now and have trimmed my mile down to 8:30 from like 13:30 and my 5K from 42 minutes to 30 minutes. Still have a ways to go but thanks for the tips and helping me on my journey. Keep grinding!!

Dude I actually broke 5:00 on my mile today!! Before this past xc season my mile PR was a 5:39. I wanted to see how fast I could do it so today I went over to the track and ran a 4:48!!! 51 second PR I’ve been watching your vids for a while and I love em keep it up man!

Tip 1: Increase mileage
Build your aerobic system

Tip 2: Tempo Runs
Good workout. He does 2 mile nonstop jog after 4 mile tempo run.

Tip 3: Strides
Do 6-8 100m strides after every workout

Tip 4: Long Runs
Always do your long runs (like tip 1)

Tip 5: Easy Days Easy
Just relax and recover on easy days

Tip 6: Stay Flexible
Always do your warmups, cooldowns, and stretches to stay healthy and prevent injury. Drink lots of water.

I’m 14 years old and my Mile PR is 5:50 I really really wanna break 5 but I know it’s gonna be hard and take a lot of Discipline, Thanks for the tips Ryan. Update: 2 years later, my mile PR is 4:44

I improved my mile quite a bit I started at 11 mins I’ve been running everyday for a month and I’ve gotten it down to 8 mins I still need a long way to go but at least I’ve improved
