why is that when i move the objects, some vertices are left behind? only the hooked points move along? Any help would be greatly appreciated

how to stop vertices to spin in soft body simulation when you build cables only with vertices spline? in my case vertices start to spin and if your cable isnt round shaped it looks not good. Thank you!

even with baking, the pinned verts of the cable always end up lagging some distance away from the empty ;_;

very interesting, but I have a question, you can have more than two hooks on the cable?

Wish those sims would prevent stretching. It kinda makes everything look about the same.

Can you do a video on how to keep detail after retopologizing a high poly model. Because I see tutorials on YouTube tell me to use multires modifier and shrink rap, but If I use a multires modifier the model become high poly again and the is a bit inconvenient for stuff like to be used in a game.

Is there a way to make the cables less bouncy

Im following all steps but my cable is stiff in middle. and sorta has breaks. its not flowing like yours. I did everything ass told. I even made the vertex weight to be gradual. can someone help me?

If I bake it it's fine and it hangs like normal. If I unbake it, keyframe the hook to a different location then bake it again it retains the same shape as before but where the hook moved it just stretches from the original point. What is going on?

Is it possible to use this method to have three hanging points from one rope?

Hi, I have a question. I've been learning blender for 6 months now and ended up getting into a mechanical project. The problem is, I don't know if blender can do simulations the way that is necessary for me, since it's a modeling software.

My question is: Can simple machines be simulated in blender? Like a rope on a pulley, and I would have a way of pulling on one side of the rope seeing how it will effect the other side. Or would it be better to start learning engineering software like a CAD?

hu, first thanks a lot in general u kind of a hero, or give useless keys for spend hours in heavean, secondary i did all the step put the vert hook to Empty parented to Cube, dosn't affect the "cable" when i move it. If u can help me, thanks a lot anyway mate

I can't for the life of me figure out how to make the cable collide with the ground. It only works if the original mesh has faces. If its edges only it just passes straight through collision objects.

THIIIIS IF YOU WANT THEM TO MOVE THEY NEED TO BE IN THE SAME VERTEX GROUP, i spent 1 hour not knowing why

If I play the animation, then my edge just falls.
