I lost 110 pounds i have very little fat left. I'm at 160lbs now. I am still losing fat but my weight bottomed out. It took me 2yrs and 2 months. Now its a life style for me.

Love this list! As an herbalist they are spot on. I would specify that the cinnamon you need is Ceylon or cinnamon sticks. Ground cinnamon is too concentrated and will actually harm the liver if taken in excess, 1 teaspoon a day. So yes with keto cookies but no for tea, unless you use a Ceylon cinnamon stick.

Took me 8 months of OMAD to stop my body to be insulin resistant, like Dr. Berg said sometimes takes more than a year to start loosing the weight, never give up!

We use Ceylon cinnamon sticks in oolong and green teas with great results. It helps with sugar cravings. We also soak fenugreek seeds in filtered water overnight and drink the water the next day. It has a wonderful maple flavor. These things have helped my pre-diabetic husband with insulin resistance.

For the cinnamon, I'd recommend Ceylon cinnamon, since the "regular" cinnamon (Cassia) is toxic if you have it for a long period of time or in large amounts. It contains coumarin, which may harm your liver and increase the risk of cancer.
Although the regular cinnamon is safe to eat in small or moderate amounts, it's best to use Ceylon cinnamon. Though a bit more expensive.

I took Garcinia Cambogia in 2013/2014 - I lost about 15 pounds over a short space of time, starting weight 170. When I stopped taking it my weight rebounded quickly to 165. Note: my diet was regular and wasn’t doing keto or IF. Might try it again and see…

I have extreme IR and I take all these except green tea. I'm currently doing OMAD and staying in ketosis, but I still have very high blood sugar especially in mornings. 160-200. Hopefully these will come down over time. I feel great and I'm dropping that last 15 lbs. Also trying to stay more active and adding some exercise. Thanks Dr Berg for your willingness to get up every day and teach us what our Doctors won't.

In Sri Lankan cuisines, we use cinnamon (our Ceylon cinnamon), Fenugreek, Turmeric, Garcinia daily as spices. these are healthy and tasty. Our Eastern doctors recommend Garcinia to control cholesterol as well.

Hey!
I used them all mentioned herbs except Garcinia and they are awesome and enjoyable to consume if you do it the right way.
How i use these and some additional herbs
Let's get into it.
1. Cinnamon
(soothing in tea for beginners a cm stick is more than enough)
2.Turmaric
( in egg omelette and scrambled eggs but with pure butter it's really awesome)
3. Fenugreek seeds
( sprinkle on hot Asian dishes goes with almost all spicy healthy meal, with boiled chickpeas and black beans sprinkle some red hot chili peppers and onions and fenugreek and enjoy)
4. Green tea
( I consume it before any meal without any sugar or sweeter that way you can enjoy each and every sip of your green tea(I enjoy silver needle tea the most and makes me extremely hungry and I feel energized)
Okay to be frank never used berberine and Garcinia but the following benefited me the most.
5. Basil chatni
( lemon basil and sweet basil combined and mixed with 1/3 parsely 1/2 onions 1/3 fresh tomatoes and lime zest and freshly squeezed lime and some sea salt and few fresh peppermint leave if available( your gut would really thank you when use it with your launch and really clear your mind)
6. Lemon balm tea
( specially in the evening sooths your soul, and you sleep like a baby)
7. Lemon grass tea
( mixed with simple green tea.

Fenugreek seeds? Garciaparra Cambogia? Berberine? Doc, where the heck do we acquire these things? Even at my local health food stores, they oftentimes look at me like, "Do we have any whaaa?" It can be pretty frustrating.
I drink turmeric in a couple of different drinks I get. One is called "Rebbel" (the "golden" one) and Bolthouse Farms does a carrot juice [I know...sugar...at least it's not soda, apple or orange juice] with ginger and turmeric. I drink green tea sometimes, but mostly coffee. It can be difficult to consume all of the things we want to consume to become healthier...not enough hours in the day!

Turmeric has a better curcumin uptake if you eat it with black pepper.
