It's safe, start with cold showers and then do brief moments of ice bath, gradually increasing length of time in it, this increases brown fats, you stay warm.

Also contrast showers are great, 10 seconds 👌 of hot and 10 seconds of cold do atleast 10 times, I do 5 minutes just cold shower after and try to go for 10 minutes in shared bathroom.
