From a very young age I struggled with my weight. I was always the overweight kid in school and it eventually got to the point where I had enough. I lost 100lbs+, it started off healthy but then I got addicted to watching the scale drop and it started to get out of hand...

I got introduced to the gym when I was 18 and started to try and build my body back up. I gained some muscle but also a lot of fat in the process. I went from fat to skinny and back up again. So I can relate to a lot of you in whatever situation you may be in!

I finally found what works and what has helped me get to the point that I'm at now and I couldn't be happier with myself. In this video I want to share with you what I did so you can apply these tips to your own fat loss journey!

Tip 1: Eat a high protein diet
Tip 2: Increase your "non-exercise activity thermogenesis" (energy you expend from things other than sleep, eating and exercise)
Tip 3: "Train", don't just "work out" (be more intentional in the gym, and increase your output)
Tip 4: DON'T drink calories
Tip 5: Track your calories
Tip 6: Get creative in the kitchen (make low calorie versions of your favorite foods)
Tip 7: Trick your mind
Tip 8: Enjoy your workouts (do exercise you enjoy/consider to be fun)

Made me happy to hear this guy talking about his eating disorder straight from the start, there is not enough talk about eating disorders in men I swear it's all about anorexic women and young girls, we gotta break the stigma!!!

As a college instructor, you have excellent communication skills. I had to tell you that. Also, you did not feel the need to have a silly opening with rock music playing which I find so annoying. You didn’t have music playing throughout. And you weren’t continuously trying to be funny. YouTube needs more personality like this guy.
