Wow you just described my childhood. I miss these. My father made the best pickled eggs. He sold them in his bar in the 1970s for $0.25 each. He would make me some for helping miss my dad and these you.

When I was a kid just under drinking age but with a fake ID I went into a bar and while we were having a beer I seen a sign.
" Boneless chicken with beets 2 for 25 cents. "
I said to the bartender I'll try that boneless chicken. And he proceeded to serve me 2 hard-boiled pickled eggs. I laughed my ass off and I have never forgot that.

I know this is is an 'old' video and maybe you won't see the comment here, but I just have to tell you: I made these pickled eggs 10 days ago and tried yesterday for the first time.... they are truly epic! The very best pickled eggs I have ever had! Also the beets and little onions are scrumptious! I will make them regularly in the future, THANK YOU for this great recipe.

Pickled was a way to preserve without refrigeration. Definitely going to try.

The easiest way to make pickled eggs is to place hard boiled eggs in the left over pickle juice after you've eaten all the pickles. My grandmother used to do this all the time, she was a frugal New Englander

I have pickled up some eggs in my time, but I've never seen it done with the onions. The recipe came out great, it always takes a little bit of courage, to reach into that jar and pull out one of these beauties.

I have never had pickled eggs so I must try them this coming year. I love eggs and I love pickled stuff so I bet I will love them! Thanks Larry!

There is NO WAY my wife would let me add Beets but I love it. It's a great presentation for a video just with the color alone and a great way to deal with leftover Easter Eggs!

At 2:44- "I usually eat mine within a month". I'll be doing well if I can keep from gobbling them down in 48 hours! Thanks for posting!

I have had to make these for my dad for the past 4 years! I saw your video years ago and made them for him for father's day. Now he asks for them every holiday. Evidently they are amazing. I am too chicken to try them. I just made him another jar for his birthday coming up. He is going to be thrilled. Thanks!!

My mom always called these "red beet eggs" and I love them! I've never had them with pearl onions but that sounds like a delicious addition.

Growing up in PA Dutch country, these were at every picnic! Still love them, and when you get a craving for them, nothing else will do!

My friend and I was talking on the phone, and something came up about pickled eggs in the beet juice. I
Was telling him it should be easy, we were talking about how good they were, those were the good old days.
So I assured him someone on you tube would have the recipe, So thank you so much.👍💕😃

A friend of mine turned me on to pickled eggs with some pickled beets and man were they good. They didn't last long in the fridge. Appreciate your video. Thank you.
