Here are 13 signs you have health anxiety. Are you a hypochondriac who suffers from hypochondriasis? These are 13 signs that I constantly went through for 4 years when I dealt with health anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. Googling your symptoms is a constant habit of health anxiety sufferers. Do Not Google your symptoms. Check your heart rate or pulse and constantly checking your blood pressure is another sign you may be living with health anxiety. Asking family, friends, or doctors for reassurance daily or thinking death is around the corner are another couple of things i experiences as a hypochondriac. Another symptom of hypochondriasis is actually imagining symptoms makeing them worst by focusing and concentrating on them. Dealing with panic attacks and depression was another daily issue. Going to the doctor, having numerous tests done, not trusting the doctors, or switching doctors are some of habits you deal with as a health anxiety sufferer. The last symptom is fearing exercise. Many of us who deal with hypochondria or hypochondriasis are terrified that we may drop dead during exercise. Start out slow and increase intensity each week if this is something that worries you! To help with health anxiety or find relief, eat a healthy diet, exercise daily, meditate in the mornings and evenings, keep a journal, take a multi vitamin especially vitamin b6 and b12, and practice positive thinking and affirmations.

I've been dealing with health anxiety for the past 4 months.... literally have done all 13 signs. I've had 4 EKG, 4 xrays, 1 CT scan and a ton of blood work.... yes all that within 4 months. And after all that the diagnosis was anxiety. I thought that was it. My life was over at 22. But then I started reading the bible, yes the bible and I found this verse that reads "Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you. -1Peter 5.7 and also all of this verses (Isaiah 41:10, Phil 4:6, Jeremiah 30:17) give them a read of you can. This has literally save me from all of this depression and anxiety. The Lord created us and gave us freedom (from anxiety or any other problem) Though times are used (not given by) God so we can get closer to Him and have a restored life with Him!

I've been googling a lot. I hate this. The feeling comes out of nowhere. Any little thing makes me think something's wrong.

Your words sound like they were literally written BY ME. This is so spot-on, I was nodding my head in agreement the entire video. I'm only 28, and I've "had" a brain tumor, lymphoma, MS, Lou Gehrigs disease, heart disease, testicular cancer and COPD. Did I actually have these? NOPE! The only thing I've been legitimately diagnosed with is anxiety and depression. It's a crippling, life-altering affliction that is widely misunderstood (you don't see a 5k run for Hypocondria, even though there *should* be).

It's been said 100's of times in these comments, but thank you for making me feel like I'm not alone. Hopefully I can beat this and stop wasting the healthiest years of my life.

I was in tears watching this video. I have felt so alone with this for years. I have had aspects of this my whole life, but it really started affecting me horribly almost 7 years ago. Panic attacks, agoraphobia, unable to work, unable to do much of anything. Your list really sounded like you were describing me. I have a long history of abuse and repressed emotions, concussions, substance abuse, then this year I watched my Dad die suddenly of cancer (2 weeks from diagnosis to death) and now my wife is thinking she might be done with the marriage. I have a 4 year old son and this is hell. I am in CBT and have been making progress, but I still have a hard time accepting this is anxiety. I went to ER's a lot at first but now I don't even go to the Dr. because I have become terrified of what they might find...and if they don't find anything, I just think they missed something, just like you said. I subscribed and will be following your channel as it is so good to hear that others have gotten through this and that I am not as alone as I feel. Thanks!

I am 18 and i convinced myself that i have heart disease and brain tumor at the same time..
The irony is that when i concentrate on my head "symptoms" my heart "symptoms" disappear and when i concentrate on my heart i don't experience any head "symptoms"
Thanks for the video

4 years later and your videos are still helping people. I’m 31 years old typical manly type heavy equipment operator and I’m ashamed to tell anyone that I struggle with this. Only my wife knows. I’m constantly fearing I’m going to have a heart attack, or get some form of cancer. It started with my dad dieing from brain cancer, then my best friend died in his sleep out of no where. I constantly fear that I’m next, im very aware of what’s going on in my body to the point I can literally see the inside of my body in my own head. I’ve been to the Er countless times. I get frustrated when my wife doesn’t believe me also 😂

Dude, I really needed to hear this. This has been a 6-month battle for me. Not sure how or why it started, but this health anxiety thing almost took over my life. I recognized all of this: constant googling symptoms, obsessive pulse checking (always around or over 100). I've changed some things in my life which have really helped me calm down and avoid my triggers.

I’m going through this but it just happened recently. I was literally in my bed, googling my symptoms thinking I was having a heart attack. My heart was beating super fast, and I was just panicking and feeling dizzy and weak. So now it’s so hard for me to sleep because I feel like I’m going to die in my sleep. It’s so hard and I haven’t told anybody😢
