Different people have different symptoms for lung cancer. Some people have symptoms related to the lungs. Some people whose lung cancer has spread to other parts of the body (metastasized) have symptoms specific to that part of the body. Some people just have general symptoms of not feeling well. Most people with lung cancer don't have symptoms until the cancer is advanced. Lung cancer symptoms may include-

- Coughing that gets worse or doesn't go away.
- Chest pain.
- Shortness of breath.
- Wheezing.
- Coughing up blood.
- Feeling very tired all the time.
- Weight loss with no known cause.

Other changes that can sometimes occur with lung cancer may include repeated bouts of pneumonia or chest infections not getting better despite antibiotics and swollen or enlarged lymph nodes (glands) inside the chest in the area between the lungs.

Smoking is a major risk factor for lung cancer.

These signs and symptoms can happen with other illnesses, too. If you have some of these signs and symptoms, talk to your doctor, who can help find the cause.

My doc thought my persistent cough was acid reflux. Later came fatigue and breathlessness. Fast forward, I'm now on palliative treatment for stage 4 lung cancer with bone mets. Making the most of the time I have left 🙁

My dad had it. Stage 4 when we found out and a rib worn through with cancer and all his organs and his lymph. He rubbed his shoulder for years it was just him like ut was a gesture he lived 9 weeks after diagnosis. I didn't know shoulder pain was a sign. My poor dad. How long could he have had it

26 years old… experiencing loss of weight and appetite, minor cough of 2 weeks now, shortness of breath, and exhausted 😅 X-ray found scarring in my lung from a respiratory infection I’m getting over .. don’t know if I might need further analysis to check for lung cancer

I had persistent cough then my mom was worried and then I was diagnosed of bronchopneumonia but today I rarely cough to my persistent cough was there for about 5-6 months

My mom had a "pimple" on her back that would not go away or pop. I told her she needed to go get the cyst cut out. She did. The pathology report was diagnosed as small cell lung cancer! It was not red...nor infected. It just looks like a cyst that needs to be cut out. Upon more testings, she was already stage 4. Lived 9 months after diagnosed. She has no other symptoms. The cyst was the cancer spreading. Rip mom.

This symptoms comes after diagnosis for some. Lung CA is very rare to detect at early stage. I lost my mother on 23 oct, missing her so much.

So we just found out my dad has cancer in his lungs and elsewhere. He has none of these symptoms, so I'm guessing it's not lung cancer but another form that has metastasized.

I have a question, so I've had shoulder pain, elbow pain, wrist pain, and sort of Rib pain, but the rib pain was only 1 day of pain, and sort of a sore throat. I'm 15 year old male. Is this Lung Cancer or something else?

I am 16 y/o
I had constant cough which lasts 4-5 months i had it 3 times in 2 years now i have started to feel exhausted and short of breath, I had also lost weight around 18 months ago. And i rarely find a cheat pain here and there which feels sharp that doesn't last that long. I haveseen doctors several times i had an xray taken he said you are fine it was almost year ago
Now i am starting to feel hreathless the cough has gotten back do feel chest pain rarely. am i to be concern or is it all just a coincidence
