❌ There are 2 reasons the QL’s may feel locked up… 1. They are not being loaded enough and have perceived tightness, therefore strengthening movements are the solution. Or 2. You have poor control of the low back and your bodies inability to control these segments in space results in a compensation of tightness. Either way you have some work to do and stretching your QL’s all day is not a solution!

🔑 The key here is with the QL walk you are improving both strength and control! This might seem like a basic movement but many of you will struggle more than you realize! Each time 1 hip goes up you are activating that QL in isolation and learning how to move distinct areas of your low back/pelvis.
