Let’s talk about what you can do for an inflamed digestive system. The main function of the digestive tract (the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine) is to break down food and then absorb the micronutrients. But, if you have any inflammation in any part of the digestive tract, you’re going to have a difficult time absorbing nutrients.

There’s a condition called malabsorption, which means you’re not getting the absorption of the nutrients into the body. This could occur from inflammation in the lining of the colon or scar tissue created from the inflammation.

Certain parts of the digestive tract absorb certain nutrients. If we can identify which part of the digestive tract is damaged, we can get an idea of which nutrients you won’t be able to absorb.

90% of all of your digestion occurs in the small intestine. If your stomach doesn’t have enough acid, your gallbladder doesn’t have enough bile, or your pancreas isn’t releasing enzymes, you could have a lot of bloating and pain in the small intestine.

Potential causes of inflammation in the digestive system:
• Antibiotics
• Antacids
• Pathogens (lack of stomach acid)
• Food poisoning
• Tapeworms
• Gluten and grains
• Omega-6 fatty acids
• Food allergies
• Dairy
• Nuts
• Fiber

What you could do for an inflamed colon:
• The carnivore diet
• Consume fermented or cooked vegetables
• Consume raw organic wheatgrass juice powder
• Do regular intermittent fasting and periodic prolonged fasting
• Take vitamin D (20,000 IUs)
• Replace what’s missing (hydrochloric acid, enzymes, bile, or good bacteria)

Thank you for sharing such invaluable information! Dr Berg, you have changed (maybe even Saved) my life! I had been disabled (mostly bedridden) since 1993, after being poisoned by a "tetanus"(DTaP)shot. After the shot I had fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, Lyme Disease, Gastroparesis(the worst issue), sleep apnea, and more! I found you on YT in 2019, got on ketogenic "diet", lost 100lbs, and healed nearly every health issue I had. Lately I have not been as strict on my diet and I can feel it! Keto has given me my life back...I am able to work again and do things I wasnt able to for over 25 years. I thank God for leading me to you and giving me the ability to stick with it. May God bless you beyond measure for all you do!

Exceptional video. This is one of the best videos you have ever made. You might be aware but malabsorption is one of the most frequently underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed conditions because the majority of MDs are not educated. Good supplement suggestions and without the ACV hype = perfection

Thank you, doctor. After I was infected with the Corona virus, my blood sugar increased, and as I am, I always search for the solution on YouTube. I found your channel and found the best solution to this problem. Following the keto diet. I found that the colon problems also disappeared, fatigue, fatigue and laziness disappeared, and the problems of the gums and teeth also disappeared, and I also feel that I am more energetic. Thank you. So much. from Iraq

Taking notes from your videos and Dr. Ekberg’s is a huge game-changer for me!! I have never been able to remember so much great info and thus found it difficult to take the right actions, but with good notes it’s so much easier. Huge thank you to you, Dr. Berg. My medical doctors have little clue about most of these things and it starts to feel like it’s willful ignorance after a while!

By listening to your videos I came to realize the reason of loosing my gallbladder. I had very low stamach acid, which prevented the production of gal and that caused an inflammation of the gallbladder because it could not digest the fats in my food. It all works as a domino.
Thank you Dr. Berg you are the best.
If doctors were like you there would not be sick people.

Without tests to know for sure, i believe i just got through a bout with low stomach acid. Theorizing it came from either or 2 meds i was taking but stopped needing because of my carnivore diet for the last 9 months. HCTZ that was in with my enalapril and potassium. I started suffering from heartburn and water brash a month ago while being OMAD and IF the rest of the day. But 2 weeks ago i started taking HCl and stopped those meds. My doctor wanted me to start taking antacids while not giving me a low acid test. Im so tired of trying figure problems out on my own. The medical field only wants to push pills and i cant afford to buy supplements, so im still hoping my new lifestyle will eventually get me to proper health. Thank you for your knowledge

Ive noticed dramatically cutting out carbs has helped. I also think for myself cutting out carbonated drinks has really helped. You guys have to trial and error just to see what works for you

Hi DrBerg, I have had great success with pro biotics thanks to your advice. I have been taking them all this year following a course of antibiotics in December last year which really wrecked my guts. I am sure that I have malabsorption of nutrients as you described in this video, and I’ve saved this one to rewatch, so that I can take in all the information. I have all the symptoms you describe: hair loss, fatigue, inflammation, brain fog and sleepy all the time. Taking iron, or any form of supplements very often results in my liver reacting against it and giving me a thumping migraine. So, I have been cautious about sousing supplements. However, after my success with the probiotics I have hope that with a change of diet and more care I will be able to improve. Thank you for all you do and congratulations on the 18 million subscribers. We are not alone! Xxx

I've been going through a hard time the last six months to say the least. I was diagnosed with five ulcers and a hyatal hernia three weeks ago. Then a week later I found out from my Dr that the biopsy showed positive for H Pylori. What a nightmare. I can't take antibiotics or ppi's. Because of intolerance to medications. Made me so sick. I decided to do natural remedies. I'm starting to feel better and got some of my appetite back. I have lab work done in four more weeks. Praying it comes back negative. I was also told by my GI doctor that my digestive system wasn't digesting food. So I bought some of Dr Berg's Advanced Digestive Enzymes. Looking forward to feeling better.

You literally released this at the best time! I just had a stint with severe food poisoning which lasted 7 full days and had blood in the stool. I feel like even after 2 weeks since it stopped, I’m still messed up in my guts, nothing feels right in my body. Definitely feeling inflammation in my guts, this is exactly what I needed to hear for motivation to fast longer and to start back up on my morning wheatgrass juice powder.
