Dr. Rowe shows the reverse frog hyper, and exercise that can quickly help strengthen the sacroiliac joints (the union of the sacrum and ilium of the pelvis, commonly known as SI joints).

It's going to target the glutes, a main stabilizer of the hips and SI joint, which may help lead to less pain and injury in the future. As a bonus, this exercise can be done at home and requires no equipment.

In Yoga, this is called the "Locust" pose and can be done lying down on a mat. Roll up a towel and put the roll under your pelves bones for extra comfort. You can do one leg at time too.

I will definitely try this in addition to unlocking the SI you showed on your other video. You are a great DR. You helped me tremendously in getting rid of Sciatica, piriformis, low back pain and tight psoas and thanks to you am back to running. . Problems started to happen after I have changed jobs from being on my feet to sitting job all day in front of the computer…

Good morning, Doc! This is another one of your videos that starts out with you in a funny position that makes me laugh! I have to say, though, I can't think of one thing in my house that I could lay on that is shaped like this table and would give me the support that I need and an edge to hold onto to do this exercise. I'm older and I would be afraid to try to lift both legs up like that. Could I do one leg at a time? I'm thinking maybe laying sideways across the smaller bed in my RV might work.

Will this help with my fractured pelvis or make it worse? Thank you for giving your time and knowledge for free. So many of us don’t have much money, especially for multiple doctors visits since our pain usually impedes our ability to earn money.

I can’t do the legs together as I also have spinal stenosis, so I did one at a time, including the clamshell one.

If you see this comment please reply. i dont know who else to ask or where else to go, and im not expecting a diagnosis or anything. I just need something. One day years ago i woke up with discomfort in my ribcage, and to this day it hasng gotten better. I cant lay down properly. I cant cuddle with someone because of the discomfort, even if my shirt is touching my ribs it can make them uncomfortable. There is no pain and im tired of not being able to just lay down for 5 minutes without having to adjust my position. Im gonna post this comment on a few videos in hope that uou reply i cannot bare this. Also i have gone to the doctor they didnt really say anything.

Does this exercise helps with SI area pain that is probably caused by my rare spinal abnormality which is called lumarisation or extra L6 vertebrae? Thank you in advance!

Are your psychoeliac muscles are the same as your sciatica?? Because I am having such pain and cramping along my thighs and my calves to the point I'm unable to barely walk!!!

How can i do this if i have an ostomy and its distended so my front right side is currently a bulge?

Ive tried putting a pillow on my left side to offset the pressure on my ostomy....but i dont get the release that i really need.

And suggestions.

I have an inversion table and it helps a ton on my hips and lower backand S.I. joints....but i need to get more traction in my lower back.
