Hi, may be you should be giving another shot for " Asura " I read it before 6 months, I too had issues with the book esp abt a main character called " bhadra ", still the book turned out to be nice towards the end. Loved Raavan's character & a few other characters as well . Just like how hippe turned out for you, hope it happens with this too.
