Oof, that's not a great reading month. The Chalk Man was a book I had been wanting to read, but I saw a lot of mixed reviews and didn't pick it up. Sounds like that was a good decision! I'm glad you liked Someone We Know - I have An Unwanted Guest and I'm super excited to read it! I've been looking at her other books as well.
