I love your channel and the way you review books. You’re very straight forward and I love your no frills/bs review style. I love that you don’t add a lot of unnecessary drama when you review. You’re calm and collected and I appreciate the way you choose your words carefully. I follow a lot of booktube reviewers and each of you are unique in your own way. I also love that you read and review different genres. Great job.

I just found your page and instantly subbed! I love how you review and the fact that you recommend books that are also off the "hype" bandwagon on booktok and booktube! <3

I just finished Project Hail Mary and its a 5 ⭐ for me. It was an absolute delight, incredibly cerebral and accessible all at once! And such a celebration of humanity ⌚💤☀️

I felt the exact same way about first lie wins so it was really nice to hear someone finally talk about it.

I hear you on trying to get into mystery/thrillers. The Family Game by Catherine Steadman got me in! It was an instant reread. I had to listen to the audiobook twice to see what I missed... in the best way!

Could honestly listen to you review books for hours! You’re so eloquent in it ❤ I’ve been on the fence with The Love of my afterlife ever since it came out but after your in depth review on it, I’ve decided to move onto other books! I’m definitely adding Tom Lake to my TBR! I also really liked the premise of The House of Glass but kind of upset to hear the disappointing review & I love being surprised by my thriller books!

I liked Project Hail Mary a lot! So different from what I habitually read. A great entré for Sci Fi !

Hi, I recently found your channel and I've never subscribed so fast ! I appreciate the variety of genre you read and I was beginning to feel like every book channel was talking about and reading the same books. I don't feel that way with your videos at all! I really enjoy the way you speak about the books and I can't wait to catch up on your videos!
P.S. I felt the same way about Artemis by Andy Weir. I think the book would have been much stronger with a male protagonist.

Okay LOVING your channel! I'm still working my way through your videos BUT I am also one of the girlies that loves reading books about books/bookstores (as I'm sure so many are!) I am halfway through a book called Welcome To The Hyunam-dong Bookshop by Huang Bo-Reum, it was originally written in Korean and also my first translated contemporary read! It's so cozy and the characters are so lovely, and from what I've read so far, I think you'd love it! Keep going girl, we love your content! 😊

I started Tom Lake last night. I’ve been super skeptical of it, but this made me feel a little more optimistic!

I’ve been reading cozy mysteries that take place in Michigan recently and I’m always looking for more books set in the Mitten since I’m also from there. Adding Tom Lake to my TBR. A couple of my fav mystery thrillers that you might like are How to Solve Your Own Murder by Kristen Perrin and Murder Your Employer by Rupert Holmes both are fantastic!☺️📚

I really love watching your videos. The way you film just really draws you in. Do you have a Goodreads? Also your glasses are super cute. Could you share where you got them?😊

Hi Olive, I'm a bookseller in Switzerland. Bc of work I read a very broad spectrum of novels. I noticed a pattern in the books that you dislike. Some of my favorite novels when it comes to the exploration of emotion and the mind, relationships and societal structures are the following.

- My dark Vaness by Elizabeth Russel. This is a very moving and introspective exploration of grooming.
- Girl, Women, Other by Bernardine Evaristo. The author masterfully intertwines the stories of 12 black women in Britain. Pure genius
- Below Deck by Sophie Hardcaste. This is one of my all time favorite books. I don't think I ever rooted for a character as much as in this book. It explores themes such as the power dynamics in heterosexual relationships, SA (tw!), friendship and how one defines themselves.
- The Bee Sting by Paul Murray follows a family that slowly falls apart. Each family member tells a part of the story and the author plays a lot with the perception of truth. He also uses literary stylistic means to convey emotions to the reader in a way I have never seen before.

for a non-tragic literary fiction i def recommend the Rachel Incident by Caroline O'Donoghue!! So charming and funny but still about serious issues

Totally agree about One Italian Summer! I may have been swayed to rate it higher initially because of the beautiful quotes and more emotional moments but it was hard to get past basically all of Katy’s decisions… Oof.
So glad you loved Tom Lake, I did too 😊 And I really want to read Project Hail Mary!
Bring on the fall reads! 🍁🎃🍂

Just finished Project Hail Mary before diving into The Silent Patient. Really enjoyed it, and if you haven't read The Martian by Andy Weir, I'd totally recommend it too. Project Hail Mary kind of feels like a mix between Interstellar and The Martian—pretty cool vibe.

I really enjoyed Tom Lake and the 11th hour twist actually upped my rating lol. I actually wrote a super long review about it and why. Anyways, on your psychological thriller hunt, have you tried Ashley Audrain's books?? Both of them really got me and I also loved The Silent Patient.
