The grocery budget lately has been a STRUGGLE. This is the kind of content I need right now.

I love these budget videos, not just because they are budget friendly, but because they are always very simple too.

If you are trying to eat healthy food on a budget I recommend carrots and cabbage. Purple cabbage is especially healthy. Frozen brocolli is much more economical than fresh brocolli where I live it's just as nutritious as fresh.

Glad to see a meal prep based on Canadian prices

Thanx Rose. Grocery prices here in Australia not great.
It pays to be vegan. Animal products eg meat are insanely expensive!
Good job Rose ❤

I make my own tofu and good grief you get so much more for your money I get 3 times as much tofu for the cost of the soy beans as I do for a store bought packet. I coagulate it with lemon juice and it’s amazing

Thank you for focusing on budget friendly eating. I recently spent too much money on shopping then realized that I couldn't shop again for 2 weeks until my husband gets paid! I've got to figure this out.

Hi Rose, this would be great as a monthly series not only to track the prices, but to make dishes within you shrinking budget. TYFS, hun! 🧡😊🧡⭐

Rose, your scrambled tofu mix is bomb! I make a big batch and keep it in a seasoning container. It lasts a long time.

Simplest things can be grown for yourself. I’ve always felt farming should be taught in school. You’d save a lot if you’ve got the time and space 💜👊🏽🦇

i usually get that plastic bottle of lemon juice or lime one its a lot cheaper. I seem to always forgot i bought lemons and so they just wilt there in the fruit bowl so it gets expensive.

I'm not sure how big of a population a town needs before they get an Asian market, but that's the place to get decent prices in Canada these days.

For mexican rice, i love to do this at maximum laziness: in the rice cooker. Put rice in with appropriate amount of water, add Better than Boullian, seasonings, herbs, cans of veggies(tomatoes, black beans, corn, whatever) and then start the rice cooker. Makes easy burrito filling too for quick burritos to freeze for quick work lunches when you have nothing made to take with. I microwave for 90 sec, flip, 90 sec, flip back and 90 sec and its done!

1 Lemon=1$ 😮 Seriously ? We need to start cultivating more of our food. When we have many Lemons, we put the Lemon juice in ice cubes mold & keep them freeze to use them whenever prices go crazy. Totally agree for a video of Tofu making if we can vote ? Thank you very much for your cooking, with respect, Lemonia.

I started making lentil “tofu” & other bean tofus because tofu is SO pricey for some reason now 🥺🥺🥺 I still buy tofu but I’m definitely supplementing haha

If you’re on a budget or just want to be waste-conscious you can save your veggie scraps in the freezer and when you have enough you can make your own veggie stock. It’s super easy!

Because of the prices i am happy that I don't live in Canada and feel sorry for Rose and all Canadians and I am grateful that even though costs are increasing in the UK its still cheaper than in Canada. A fantastic vegan food haul Rose and love 🥰 the video and love 💞 Rose.
