The last method worked! I am impressed, thank you once again you legend. Microsoft Edge was making my pc games run really slow or jitter on FPS but now I can finally play in peace without my games jittering again.

It wasn't easy -- I had to go fish out the Edge files from the Microsoft folder, but the EdgeWebView folder didn't let me rename it because it was open. So I had to look really closely in the Task Manager and finally found the culprit and renamed it and, yay, now I can look at the weather without that dastardly thing popping up instead! Thank you.

Well it was not as easy as you made it seem on my system. The default area had plenty of files that were only associated with Edge with no other choices to change the default to. And when I went to the System Apps to find the same file name you disabled it didn't exist just one called
so not sure if that should be disabled or not. Let me know what you think.

i didnt secceded, but then i asked norton antivirus sepport to delete edge the v i r u s :) and they deleted edge from abrod. so no more microsoft edge explorer, thank god.

My firewall tools are set to quarantine Edge, and will not allow Edge to access the internet. Yay!
