I recall the food being very fresh and flavourful, didn’t feel I needed to eat as much because one bite packed a punch

Our takeaway from Italy- my daughter has auto immune reactions (in the US) to flour, sugar, and dairy. In Itay, she ate everything, without any issues. We would eat huge pasta meals (lookup Pastacuitta near the Vatican to see awesome photos) and the pasta was made on-site, the cream, cheese, and guanciali pork was all top notch and I am sure full of protein. If we ate in the Us like we ate in Italy, we would have gained a ton of weight! There is also drank regular coke rather than diet and probably leas issues because their sugar is not processed like in the Is (GMO’s, bone powder used in the US that is also banned in Europe, etc). We had a piccolo gelato every day (I never eat ice cream in the US) and walked around 19k steps (vs around 13k for me in the US). Oh, and I drank a glass of wine at dinner- no issues and NEVER drink wine in America. It doesn’t sit well if I drink it here.

Sounds like vacation life! Not a daily program.
