You CAN do pushups... in better video quality.

I JUST uploaded this video, so no updates yet! Here's the information:

1.) Find a pushup variation you can do competently with good form.

2.) Practice this variation until you hit the Goal standards. Do 2-3 Sets once or twice a week.

3.) When you're able to hit the goal standards, move on to a harder variation.

Progressions:
Wall Pushups: 3 Sets of 50
Incline Pushups: 3 Sets of 40
Advanced Incline Pushups: 3 Sets of 35
Knee Pushups: 3 Sets of 30
Full Pushups!

I'll be redoing some of my older work to add more information and have better visuals. This should be more helpful to new people who discover the channel. Hope you're all well!

Old school PE teachers helped to give knee pushups the bad vibe. Like “girls pushups” were a joke. Thank you for the great video.

This guy is so great. No muscular showoff, no judging, and gets straight to the point. We need this guy

Just wanted to say thank you for putting so much work into the updated routine. I've been following the old routine and the new for 7 months now, and it's not an exaggeration to say that ii has changed my life.

32yo female here. NEVER BEFORE was I able to do a push up. Followed your instructions with little to no expectations, but did it every day.
3 months and a half later, and NOW I´m able to do 15 PERFECT FORM push ups. Unbelievable what you can do with proper instructions, patience and consistency. Got hooked up and I´m working on increasing my reps. YOU, SIR, ARE AMAZING! Thank you so much!!!

I am a 70 year old female- I used to be able to do standard “male” push ups up to 5 years ago- i was a firefighter. Back injury changed that. BUT- I have been doing 100 “girl” push ups every day for 26 days!!!! I see, feel and enjoy the changes!!! You make this very doable and I appreciate your videos! I will get back to “male” push ups soon!!!😊

I'm literally tearing up right now I am not even kidding. When you said around 5:30 that if it is still too hard you shouldn't be ashamed tears literally started rolling down my cheeks. I am still in highschool but I am really weak and always picked last for gym. I am starting from so low and I am so insecure right now starting, I have zero knowledge about fitness and workouts and I am so so grateful for youtube to guide me. This video means a lot to me. I hope I'll someday be able to a pushup. Thankyou

As a large person, the stigma of exercise and largeness has always made even beginning fitness very daunting. Your straight forward, factual and compassionate sharing of how to look after your entire body, pay attention to your limits and how to prevent damage are so useful and really answer so many questions I’ve always had all my life, but no one to ask. It’s crazy that deconstructing the stigma of starting at whatever you’re capable of into it being actually a healthy, proactive and progressive action to train your body’s muscular strength, flexibility and joint strength — really is the magic ticket.

Body health and fitness shouldn’t begin and end at body image, ego and competitiveness.

Fitness and body work like this feels achievable, TRULY accessible for all bodies and feels entirely coded towards the health of your entire body. I’m so grateful you make this content

I started with 20 wall push-ups, and now I can do 40 normal push-ups, 10 diamond push-ups, 8 pike push-ups, clapping push-ups, and much more. This video helped me combat my insecurity for push-ups. I used to be that one kid who couldn't do one push, and now i can do one of the most in my classes. Thanks for this video for helping people in need and continue the good work on youtube.

I wanted to say that the original "You CAN do pushups" video was what got me into fitness in the first place. I wasn't doing incredibly well in my life due to my own self-image among other things, but that video as well as the original routine have, safe to say, changed my life. I now no longer dislike how I look or how I act towards myself and the basis for this can almost solely be attributed to you, Hampton!
The new routine looks incredibly well built, and while recently I haven't had enough time to fully check it out, the effort that was put into it is obvious, and I can't wait to see how it evolves

Just to contribute, for some, the trouble with moving from knee pushups to full pushups might be a lack of core strength. I've found the plank to be a great way of strenghening my core, in turn helping me do pushups. Hope it can help someone else as well!

A friend of mine wanted help getting into shape after a long time in the hospital with COVID complications. Basically no muscle mass left. Wasn't sure how to start her off because I'd never helped anyone starting from such a low muscle-base. Used a few of your most basic exercises and she's up to ten normal pushups now! Great resource, thanks man.

Dude, you are just so freaking positive as a coach. I teach fencing to a lot of adults who have never had a large interest in fitness before, and when they ask me what to do to get into better shape I send them to your material.

I was born with a neuromuscular disease called Muscular Dystrophy and all my life I was encouraged to not workout because typically exercise can sped up how fast the muscles lose function. It wasn’t until a couple years ago that I learned the specific kindof MD I have, I’m actually “safe” to workout, but to take it easy cuz my nerves still don’t work well lol
Just the idea of doing a Wall push-up variation literally changed my life like stepping stones.
Thank you brother!
