I’m definitely not watching this when I’m supposed to be sleeping... for sure

My biggest issue is always that I have zero energy when I first get home from work and then seem to get a huge surge of energy right before bed. So I desperately try to get all of the housework done that I was supposed to do earlier in the day and then end up in bed over an hour past my bedtime… (for example, just got on a huge surge of cleaning hyper focus to clean the litter box, the picture window which was splattered from my kitten’s ear infection, and a variety of other cat related messes. And now it’s 11:30pm. )

I busted out laughing when you said "slept through every alarm short of an ice bucket challenge"! My parents actually had to throw cups of cold water on me some days to get up for school (pre ice bucket challenge). I wasn't diagnosed til I was 23.

Literally the first 50 seconds hit me like a truck... I've never felt both so called out and understood at the same time. Thank you.

You don't realise how alone you felt until you realise you're not alone.

OK, I've recently discovered this channel and I am absolutely loving it. Great, solid, direct and digestible advice. It's just annoying how much work it takes to be 'good' at ADHD.

This isn't a complaint on the channel but an annoyance with ADHD in general

i've watched a bunch of your videos, and for some reasons, it just screams my name
I've never been to the doctor to get myself diagnosed, but always in every year of my life, i've struggled so much on my mental health. i've always found myself to be different, and it terrifies me
Now, for the first time, I feel understood
I'm crying rn, thank you so much

I first spotted this video at about 4:30 am, yesterday...now, I'm watching it at 12:30am at 1.5x speed...I think I'm in the right place.

I've gone through a number of cycles of being completely nocturnal since 2020 came along. I've always been a "night-owl, " but for the first time there were no schedules or responsibilities forcing me to be anything else. Hard as heck to get back to "normal" time. Currently waiting months for an open appointment to get diagnosed for the first time at 36.

For once, it all seems to make sense. From the excruciating emotional issues to the crippling lack of self-confidence to the hardcore sugar addiction, sleep issues, staring at walls, the gift/curse of hyperfocusing, etc, etc...so, now I'm cautiously hopeful for some real and effective treatment for the first time in my life! 🤞🏻😖🤞🏻

I know it might seem weird, but try ASMR. I thought it was weird at first, but it really helps me relax, slow down, and keep my circadian rhythm in check. Not only are the triggers relaxing, but they provide some kind of stimulus apart from pure silence. Doesn’t work for most people, but it shouldn’t hurt to try it.

Newly diagnosed at 38 when ADHD has crippled my relationship. Would love to see a video about how anxiety plays into ADHD as well as RSD

my therapist asked me if I had sleep problems, and I said "no, I don't think so" but you described the sleep problems, and now I know that I do have those problems I just haven't thought of them as sleep problems...
