It's interesting to hear you comment about the ones at the start not being 'refined' but I still think they look awesome with the different texture brushes and confidence in putting the blocks of colour down. That effect is the kind of art I love to see!

Also HOLY HECK YOU MADE THESE DURING FINALS?! That's incredible, especially since the ones at the end keep looking more and more gorgeous! That settles it, somehow or another, once I finish the drawing I am currently working on, I'll do a challenge like this. Whether or not they look as beautiful as yours, I've got to try. I can't keep putting my characters against flat, monocolor backgrounds like I've been doing, not when there's a whole world of possibility out there!

Whoa your backgrounds look amazing! Massive respect for keeping motivation for that long. I've also wanted to improve my backgrounds, but I've often seen backgrounds as the 'boring' bit of art, never bothering to improve them or draw them at all, but in your video the backgrounds you practice are beautiful and varied, as though each was its own character.
Someday I'd like to do a challenge like this, but I'm a little uncertain of where to start. I only know very basic perspective, and I'm wondering if I should brush up on drawing buildings and things before copying a picture. I also enjoy drawing fantasy and comics, and I want to be able to draw backgrounds that don't really resemble any one picture, taking inspiration from many.
