Whenever I try side breathing I drink water and I feel like vomiting so I just stand in the middle of pool with my instructor shouting at me to continue 😭
Edit: i finally learned it guys after 2½ months. I may have drank half of the pool 's water but the result is worth it

I think my ancestors never entered water cus the urge to breathe when I submerge my head in water is just crazy, I loose focus and just start to panic

And if you have kids, get them swimming as early as possible! My parents had me in the YMCA pool before I was 6 months old.
It's obviously smart from a safety standpoint, but it also fosters a lifelong love of swimming and being in the water.

I have started to learn this skill at 32years now. It's been 10 days now that I have been swimming, I am facing difficulty with stiffness in my body. I can breathe by turning my head, but the moment I turn my head, my legs start to sink and I unconsciously stop kicking.

I recently got back into swimming and I’m in my late 40s. I feel like exhaling through my nose helps me breathe better in general out of the pool. And possibly even sleep better with better breathing at night during sleep.

I know how to swim underwater but can't keep my head above the water too long and my hands always reach out for supports if I try to keep my head above ‼️
