remember, diets are simpily what you eat, having a certain diet is saying you are going to eat certain things. being on a diet only means that you are modderating what and when you eat not just cutting out all the food you like, such as say skipping breakfast in the morning, having a filling lunch and a moderate dinner, that is a diet. modderating the amount of sugary or processed food you eat, that's a diet. prepping food yourself and making a balanced diet, it doesn't matter if you do do 1, 4, or every day in a week, it's still a diet. likewise eating mc donalds for breakfast lunch and dinner is also a diet. we tend to think as diets as something we do to be healthy, but in essence it's literally just food intake habits and modderating what you eat.

a diet doesn't need to be fully healthy, even just including healthy elements and practise can be a good thing, you don't need to go over the top when trying to eat healthy, you can look at what your eating and make small changes over time that help build up healthy eating habbits.

Small warning, it's not entirely accurate. There is a core of truth to it but there's plenty of contradictory literature, but they ignored all that, I guess because it doesn't make for an interesting video. If you want a tangible example, go down to your local rowing club, find a competitive athlete and ask them what they typically eat in a day. It's far over 2600 kcal, but they're generally pretty light guys, especially the lightweight rowers who have to stay under 75 kg.

The walking you do is good though! Sitting for long periods is absolutely terrible for your health and walking can partially offset that. You're lowering your risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease, the general exercise aspect of it aside.

Welcome back! How's life been treating you? Also I'll add this tidbit of information: sleeping actually burns more calories than being awake. Mostly during REM sleep. The reason being that it's the period of time when your body regenerates, grows and organizes memories. The better the sleep, the more calories burnt. Isn't the body well designed?
