Looks really good. You even use the most common brand of tahini they carry at the stores where I live, great for all sorts of cooking applications if you like various Middle Eastern foods and want to make your hummus from scratch the old-fashioned way. You can also make your own with canola oil and toasted sesame seeds just as easy and for a thinner hummus if you like it thinner, plus add more garlic either roasted or raw, plus also generous amounts of pepper, cumin, and of course olive oil. Great along with date syrup and either shakshouka or sunny-side eggs with nihari to dip a ton of various hot flatbreads into for breakfast or with dates and hareesa for an iftar meal if you're going traditional. If not, Frito scoops and other types of tortilla chips and corn chips go great with hummus dips for parties and TV/movie snacks. Thanks for this rendition. :)

You’re awesome, girl!
Thank you!!! I grew up in Brazil, and we have more Syrians out there than in Syria, in case you don’t know, lol! I was raised eating amazing arabic dishes, and I absolutely LOVE musabaha! (That I knew as “hummus”! Thank you for teaching me the real name!)
Good luck on your channel! You’re super cool and cute! 😊❤️

I was never a hummus fan until I finally had a super smooth version at a local Lebanese restaurant. I Google/Tubed how to make hummus super smooth by removing the chick pea skins before processing, and a few tablespoons of ice cold water at the end of processing. This works really really good for me.

My question to you is if the super smooth hummus is more of a cultural difference (Americanized), or is the grittier/chunkier versions more traditional due to being made in the past without the help of a food processor?

BTW, I love your energy and creativity that you put into your work. Hope to hear back.

I followed a recipe by a Saudi girl and it was sooo good but she didn’t add garlic idk if that is by her preference or a Saudi thing. Either ways she soaked her chickpeas overnight and boiled in it baking soda and bay leaf....summary it came out GREAT! I have some left over chickpeas I’ll use to make hummus again this time with garlic. Also sorry for all the hateful disgusting comments I understand what it’s like to be proud in your culture. Stay beautiful habibi much love from Ghana!

Thank you, hummus is msabaha. By the way do you know that people of the coastal cities of Syria call it hummus? And they call chick peas msabaha. I didn’t know that because I am from Damascus, however, when I lived there they would fight with me about which one is which. It was very confusing😂

Hi from London, UK, visiting your channel for the first time today.
I'm not interested in reading the negative comments, as m'A you are clearly well-informed, articulate
and this was SO informative! Who knew hummus was just a bean!!! Good to meet you! Best regards, Fozia

In Egypt and in Lebanon we used to call it "Hommos b't'hineh. Never heard the term "Msabaha". But I like it.
Also, I always incorporate the Cumin powder (Cammoun) and the paprika with the mixture.

Loved the video and the personality. I never realised how easy it is to make hummus and falafel until I started looking at making it from scratch myself.

Tip: if you want more garlic without the pungent/raw flavor, blanch in boiling water for 1 minute, then shock in an ice bath. ;-)

A trick that works for separated peanut butter is to turn the jar upside down and wait a while. The oil will work its way up through the "dry" paste. (Of course if you wait too long it'll separate again.) Less of a mess than stirring. I have not tried this with tahini.
