As a Romanian, i can tell you that this dish is also named "Fasole Bătută" translated as "beaten beans". Also, you got that Romanian accent very good!

As a romanian i grew up with this dish because it was cheap and nutricious and easy to make. We ate it with pickles and smashed onion in a towel with salt. Goodness in a plate!
