All push up variations engage your whole body - even your legs! - but some variations target specific muscle groups better than others. Which push ups are the best for the chest, shoulders etc?

There are thousands and millions of different push up variations but some variations train your shoulders better while others focus more on the chest. There are even variations where your upper (or lower) chest is specifically engaged.

E.g. incline push ups are great to train the lower pecs while decline push ups focus on the upper chest and the shoulders. There are even push up variations which train almost solely your triceps.

My jaw dropped when I saw your nose touchdown in pseudo push ups. Like whatt!! Also, it was interesting to see and easy to remember the different muscles that are impacted with each variation through the diagrams.

100 pushup- variations for super heroes!!! I will have to check out that video!! Great techniques Victor- I notice how low you get in all of your push-ups-those archer push-ups look super hard! I actually like the sphinx push-up- you tap your nose to the ground on that handstand pushup-incredible! You make it look so easy!! Fantastic tutorial as always!!!

Thank you for showing all these different push-ups I have a question. Do normal push-ups do the same as Dimond push-ups for my triceps?

my triceps are so weak so i could only do like 2 normal pushups but i trained upperbody/tricep 2 times and now i can do like 8 off the normal pushups

HI . NICE push-up variations. I'm a big fan on doing push-ups. Even if I'm 58 years old I like to practice them often . Along with dips that I also like. The handstand is too much for me . Hi get alot of pressure in my head. So I go with diamonds, pike, archer, pseudo and sphinx.. It's perfect for me and I find that my upper-body muscular mass is good. Thanks very much for sharing this vid.

3:25 I do a weird variations of this, I do underhand incline pushups, I feel them in lats, biceps and upper chest....

How much do you weigh ? I weigh 91 kg or 200 lbs. I can't do full plank or handstand but can do the other variations. Good Vid.
