Tinsley hit the nail on the head. If Murdaugh felt bad, he would confess where the money went and what he was doing. People are letting him lie and say it was for oxy lol.

One of my favorite victim statements was Mr. Jenks disputing Poot's statement about selling bobbleheads. What a wonderful way to end the statements! I cheered!!!
But at the end of the day, NONE of these victim statements hit the heart of Murdaugh. Like judge Newman said--he is EMPTY--absolutely empty.

Eric wasn’t just “name dropping” his podcast…the name rose from him saying that very statment about Alex before the podcast existed. It was a great line.

I actually understand why you would want to talk to someone you loved that betrayed you so badly. You need a why, a reason, a true motive, you need closure. I feel for his friend and all his victims

During Larry Nassar's sentence, Larry Nassar spoke directly to his victims. Thank God Judge Rosemarie Aquilina understood the psychology of Larry victimizing his victim again and ordered him to turn around and talk to her/the judge.
It would have been appropriate if Alex Murdaugh had been given the same message, to speak directly to Newman. Alex turns his victims into hostage victims.

This is why I love EB. All his actions before this moment was the same crook that thought he could get away with it and actually legally. Which is even worse. “I can screw you as long as I can get away with it legally”, on top of the actual criminal screw I gave you down below. I am here and you are down there. Even his statement focused NOT on the people he preyed upon (including the 5 children that lost a parent) but what he took away from his wealthy family and colleagues. Hence the reason I’ve lived around the country and can see hypocrisy when my eyes witness it. In his mind it’s still all about how I can keep their support at get away with what I just did. Mitigate the damage period. He played up to his family because who else is going put money on his books after say 5 years and we have all forgotten him. Cunning and precise was his whole show and I feel Judge Newman said it bluntly when he said he saw nothing. Or something of the sort. I laughed so hard because behind all those beautiful words were a strategy. I see it wholeheartedly and so did Judge Newman. Actually I would kinda expect it from a lawyer so it’s not a surprise.
