I don't know if non SC residents understand that the lawyers vote and appoint the judges. The judges conduct the questioning and place the jurors. Alex Murdaugh was a volunteer solicitor for years while continuing in his private practice @ PMPED. Dick Harpolian is a current state senator. He and Jim Griffen were the defense attorneys in the 2019 boat crash. Those of us who live in SC are very sceptical of lawyers, the judicial process, and our state representatives.
Did anyone notice Alex Murdaugh is not in shackles and is allowed to hug his sister?

Emily had a great argument. At the 911 call he said he tried to get a pulse (why if their heads exploded??) why was there no blood on him when he keeled over them and touched them where was the blood on him or his phone? That he was clean doesn`t say he didn`t kil them he was home he could`ve showered and changed. Idk if he did it but those are valid questions.

Your channel is fantastic! Started watching this and I'm learning so much about how the legal system works. Including seeing how the 2 lawyers play to try to prove their case!

Also, I don't know much about this case. I know that Murdaugh is a lawyer that allegedly killed his wife and son. But I didn't watch much about this case like I have about the Idaho college student murders. So I'm finding this incredibly interesting watching the case, hearing the evidence for the first time (like I should be doing if I was on the jury) along with your explanations on what is going on. Thank you for creating these videos!

I really like AM's lawyer.... think he's great 👍I loved the end when he spoke to the Jury about there Oath, Innocence & reasonable doubt 👍 This is the best opening statement I've heard out of all the trials we've watched... My verdict right now is NOT GUILTY!!!!

It’s a double homicide case— WTH?? The lackadaisical attitude is just freaking disgusting. I’m sorry, that does not sit well. When have you ever seen a defendant be able to do this?! So i don’t know much about Murdaugh. I JUST started listening to the Murdaugh Murders podcast but decided to go into this case “blind”. I think the defense had a stronger opening. This is one of the first times I’ve ever watched a trial without knowing at least some of the backstory first. I’ve heard rumors about him but don’t know specifics.

I’m excited to see where this goes and how (or if) I react differently to this trial and how my opinions may differ from those of you who are way more familiar with this case

what stinks is the he said they would HEAR what he said when police arrived on scene, but at the end when talking to just judge he said there was an issue with the audio of the body cams and are working on it. I'm curious to see what happens with that
