I came to this with an open mind but the man who waved his hands and rolled his eyes about the value of the falling pound angered me. It isn't him and his friends being hit by that. He is clearly posh, and the cuts won't strike him first. He isn't losing his job. He isn't going to food banks. He isn't having his benefits cut. My disabled friends and I were already cut up enough. The fall of the pound will be cushioned by what the Government can take from people like us, not from people like him. Waving your hands and rolling your eyes about the falling pound is no different from waving your hands and rolling your eyes about Britain's most vulnerable.

Not one. Not one of them! actually understand how the European Commission, parliament and council operate!
Anyone who lives in the EU can submit a proposal. The most democratic countries in the world are part of the EU.

This angers me because they didn't think about Ireland and the fact that a huge European border is in the middle of Ireland and this will probably cause conflict but they aren't even mentioning it

I find this "we did it for democracy" stand a bit weird. You have a monarch and an unelected chamber. The European Parliament is 100% directly elected by the Europeans and the European Council is composed of 28 national ministers, that are elected according to the rules of their own countries. Only the European Commission is not elected directly, but indirectly by the same directly elected European Parliament. Sorry... I just don't see where this lack of democracy is.
