What if jarred has been sitting next to Mike this whole time like through every lecture video. He just didn't say anything.

I like how after years on YT, people still keep saying either " train your abs 7 days a week " or " no, don't bother, just do compound " and these two give an answer within a minute which you can stick to for the rest of your life

My favourite advice is always "give it a try, if it works for you cool. If not, stop." Shocking how rare it is

What about weighted planks? (e.g. having a child jumping on your back while you plank.)

I do hanging leg raises at the end of a lower body session. It’s a great way to get some decompression on the spine at the end of all those squats and good mornings. Plus I don’t need to worry about fatigued abs messing up my bracing since I’ve already finished all the stuff that requires intense bracing

Good solid bracing while squatting with a safety bar destroys my obliques like no other. I was happily surprised the first time I did them lol

Planks are great for people with back issues or as a way for a new person to build core stability to improve their deadlift, squat, etc

Shout out to everyone who used to do the P90X ab ripper x workout before they knew shit about exercise

I'd love to see a really detailed breakdown of this topic. There's a lot of this kind of training in dance.

I support RP 100% Been seeing weight gains using the diet app and recently started the first time program.

After I strengthened my core I started breaking my deadlift PRs and felt more stable during leg and back exercises.

Trying to find a video by you on your thoughts "core" exercises. For people with lower back problems etc. I see a lot of high level bjj friends having lower back problems. I also know they never lift weights. Just drills and rolls.

Hanging leg raises full ROM gets you lots of stability

Compound movements with asymmetrical loading (using a single dumbbell or kettlebell) is an option to work the obliques
