Steve Perry sounds better live than most rock singers sound in the studio. An absolute legend.

I could sit and listen to Steve talk for hours. So much talent and so many amazing accomplishments.

For selfish reasons I would have loved to see Mr. Perry, just keep on singing with Journey because he is one of the Greatest Ever to do it. But listening to him in this interview makes you understand why he stepped away and I can respect that as a human being. Certainly a Hall Of Famer! Wish him well!

Years ago, I met his Grandmother at a Portuguese convention in the Bay Area. She was very proud of Steve.

This man is a national treasure. Please post the entire interview in 1 video instead of little segments!

I'm 43. I first heard Steve Perry's voice when I was 4, and I've loved him ever since. His #1.

One of the great singers of rock and roll. very thankful that he (unlike many others) knew when enough was enough, and had the courage to walk away while on top and at the top of his game!

I love that he does not feel he needs to be with Journey his whole life. He moved on to another chapter. A lot of us can learn from this.

One of the greatest voices of all time….. not just in Rock but in all music. He’s also so humble and this is what makes him great

Steve is SMART, he’s realized he can’t hit the high notes anymore combined with the non trust with the bandmates.
He actually gets to chill and do whatever he wants in life, and boom, his legacy is cemented

OMG Exactly 5:33 The mystery as to why the voice is so elusive in its ability to perform. To hear Steve say it happens to him as well gives me hope. And, once again, Dan Rather has turned out to be one of the best musician interviewers because of the good questions whose answers he never interrupts. The Anti-Howard Stern.

Steve Perry's vocal talent was quite simply the best for a rock music performer. Period.

What an insightful and literate gentleman. I appreciate his forthright disclosure and humility in recognizing how others shaped and molded him. Boy what I’d give to spend some time talking with him.

'DON'T STOP BELIEVIN' • Was a monstrous Summer Rock Anthem ... I found myself making out w/ my then gf, who I later married, while in my Ford Pinto, one late night, in Newark, CA. 1981, while parked in a 7-11® parking lot ... I had purchased the album on cassette, and we kept rewinding it, over and over and over, while intensely kissing each other. That track brought out the best in us, and we expressed that energy to each other, while making out. The 80's were the greatest time of our lives, for those of us who were so very fortunate to be older teenagers then ... I'm so grateful for JOURNEY®️ ...

Loving, touching, squeezing, and that album, is my favorite Journey song. Wow, what a great song and vocals by Steve Perry.
