Neal Schon explains why Steve Perry didn't deserve to earn money from Journey

Neil is a founding member of Journey, but the only reason people are still going to see them is because of the songs Steve Perry sang. If they were not allowed to play the songs Perry and Caine wrote, Neil wouldn’t be able to sell out a club.

Bottom line is Journey was going to be dropped from their label had Perry not joined.

Without his vocals, nobody would know or care who Neil Schon is.
